In recent days the world is facing economical as well as social changes and problems like inflation, depression, overpopulation, poverty, unemployment, etc. The whole world is worried about these problems but there is nothing which can be done about these problems. People try a lot to solve these problems but these problems cannot be solved easily. The root cause of all these problems is Illiteracy.

Now let’s understand what exactly Unemployment means “Unemployment is the situation where a person is willing to work but he/she isn’t getting any work.” Many nations worldwide are facing the problem of Unemployment, and so does India.

In the year 2020, Covid-19 started to spread in the country, and to stop the spread of the virus, government-imposed lockdown in the whole country on 25th March 2020. Small business or Large industries, everything got shut down. The business was not happening, there was no source of income for anyone, many employees got fired and lost their jobs. Initially, the lockdown was till 14th April 2020.

This lockdown directly affected the business, causing Unemployment, already there is a lack of jobs in India and in addition to that, lockdown happened. All the reserves and savings of people came to an end, people didn’t even have money to eat. The share market also collapsed due to the lockdown.

Companies started to remove employees or pay them less because of ‘work at home’, the most difficult and heart breaking condition was of daily wage workers because they earn every day and they eat from the wage they earn, because of lockdown daily wage jobs stopped and daily wage workers have no job or any source of income. The government was generous enough to provide food and grains for free or at nominal prices to the people who couldn’t afford food.

India is still a developing country and is developing at a very slow rate, the HDI(Human Development Index) for the year 2020 was 0.645 which brings India to 131st place in 180 counties. For the development of the country, the development of the people living in the country is necessary, and providing employment to people increases the per capita income as well as the living standard of the people.

The business is not run only by the owner, the employees are the most invaluable asset for the business, employees are as important as the owner of the firm, and the business owner must understand that the business cannot be done without the employees. Employees should be treated well by the owner because they are the ones helping the owner with the business and the owner must praise the employee for the work he/she has done for increasing his/her confidence and motivation.

Owner praising employee for her work.

Now in March-April 2021, the country is facing another wave of Corona Virus, there are more than 100k cases being recorded every day but the better part is that people are getting vaccinated very fast and the recovery rate is also very high, on average 1.8 million vaccine shots are being given in India.

We can only hope that the Virus gets completely vanished from the country and the proper growth of the country starts. And let’s hope that the economy gets stable so that the employment rate increases and the government takes the matter of unemployment seriously.
